About

Adolfo Serra is a explorer of blank sheets of paper. He studied Advertising and Public Relations, but soon returned to his childhood passion: drawing, taking up pencils and watercolours again at the Escuela de Arte 10 in Madrid.

Since then his table has been filled with colours, papers and textures. For him, to illustrate is to decide, to illustrate is to tell, to illustrate is to observe, to illustrate is... many things and it depends on the vision of each one.

His illustrations have been selected for the Bologna Children's Book Fair (Italy), Bratislava Illustration Biennial (Slovakia), Sharjah Children's Book Fair (United Arab Emirates), Catálogo Iberoamericano de Ilustración (Mexico), CJ Picture Book Awards (Korea), Mostra Internazionale d'Illustrazione per l'Infanzia Sàrmede (Italy) or China Shanghai International Children's Book Fair (China).

Part of his professional activity is dedicated to the development of workshops and laboratories linked to illustration and drawing, both for children and adults.
